What formats are available, and how do I choose the right one?
There are three formats: Close-Up for small intimate groups, Walk-Around for open-floor receptions and larger gatherings, and Small Stage for a full room seated together. If you're unsure which fits your event, the For Events page has a simple way to share your details — Sidney will help you work out the right fit.
What size groups does Sidney typically work with?
Close-Up and Walk-Around experiences work well from 20 to 200+ guests. Small Stage is best suited for seated audiences of 30 to 150. The format adjusts to the room — the story stays the same.
What kinds of events is this suited for?
Corporate gatherings, private dinners, weddings, product launches, and curated social events. Anywhere a shared moment — something people carry home — would add to the evening.
How long does a typical performance run?
Walk-Around and Close-Up sets typically run 60 to 90 minutes, often in structured rotations across an event. Small Stage performances run 20 to 45 minutes depending on the program. Exact timing is shaped around your event schedule.
How is this different from a typical magician or entertainer?
Most magic is built around the trick — the reveal, the reaction, the moment. Sidney's approach starts with a story. The magic isn't separate from it; it lives inside the narrative. The result is something that feels natural while you're watching, and stays with you after it's over.
What do I need to provide on the day?
Very little. Sidney handles everything related to the performance. For Close-Up and Walk-Around, access to guests and room to move is enough. Small Stage may need a modest performance area — details are worked out during the event consultation.
